BTC Loco Sheds
This project came about due to my desire to learn Blender.

Important Update.
I have finally made the decision to start uploading ALL my assets to the Trainz Download Station. The reasons are quite simple really.
Firstly and most importantly is cost, My web host has just raised their prices again to the point where I just can’t justify the expenditure much longer for what is basically a hobby site.
Secondly is the commitment in time. This is a much more complex issue, but it boils down to the fact that currently my partner and I work 7 days a week 11-12 hours a day, and while it may seem simple creating the pages for asset download the fact is that with their graphics and file links it is in fact very time consuming.
I have also had the issue twice in the last couple of years where someone has either actually hacked my site, or just recently injected a rather nasty piece if malware, the first needing a complete site rebuild and the second taking many hours of my time to remove.
My plan at the moment is to downsize my site to a point where it will only show information about my projects and some pointers on how to use them correctly, The only downloads that I will make available here will be the files available in the “Tutorials Section”
BTC Locomotive Sheds Introduction.
We are currently working on what will eventually be a fairly extensive set of Locomotive Sheds. These assets are industry interactive, meaning that you are able to select each bay with the “Navigate To” command.
While the doors on any out buildings are fixed closed, any doors on the actual locomotive sheds are animated and can be set at various states between closed and open in surveyor, and while driving any session.
This set could end up being quite large, there are several different variants of each shed and each style/variant will be available in two different lengths 60 meter and 100 meter.
These sheds all have inspection pits fitted which require the using a number of dig-holes to make visible in game. Using the dig-holes causes a limitation on the way these sheds need to be aligned, meaning if you want to set any of the sheds up with visible inspection pits you need to align the sheds at either 0 – 90 – 180 or 270 degrees, that said there is no reason you actually need to expose the inspection pits at all, they are just there if you want them.
The current intention is to create sheds from single (1) bay up to eight (8) bays wide in both 60 meter and 100 meter lengths, the variations available include three levels of windows, awnings on either the left / right or both, and the addition of an out-building on the left / right or both.
Naming Convention
To explain how the naming convention works lets take the first asset uploaded as an example.
So in Trainz Surveyor this Engine Shed appears like the example below:
BTC Loco Shed 085 60-8B-L4-NA-NO
So in this example lets break down the description into its six blocks.
Block 1 – “BTC Loco Shed 085” – Asset Name
This name designates that this is actually asset number 085 in the series.
Block 2 – “60” – Shed Size (Length)
The 60 shows that this is a 60 meter loco shed.
Block 3 – “8B” – Service Bay Number
The 8B shows that this Loco Shed has a total of 8 service bays.
Block 4 – “L4” – Windows # Level
The L means that this is a low glass loco shed.
The 4 means that there are 4 windows across the front of the shed.
Block 5 – “NA” – Exterior Awnings
The NA means that there are no awnings on this loco shed.
Block 6 – “NO” – Exterior Out-Buildings
The NO means that there are no out-buildings attached to this loco shed.
Configurations Explanation
In this series of loco sheds there are only two different lengths.
1. 60 meter – (60)

There will be up to 8 different bay versions

Additional Configuration Options
All configurations will have three different window/glass variations.
1. Low Glass – (L#).
2. Medium Glass – (M#).
